Thor

Our first film of the new term will be Thor, the superhero movie directed by celebrated Shakespearian thesp Kenneth Branagh. As far as I'm aware, this is his first comic-book adaptation. Anyway, Thor (played by him off Home and Away) is the disgraced heir to the fantastic realm of Asgard, who gets exiled to Earth and has to stop the evil Frost Giants taking over the universe. The Muppet Christmas Carol

We tried to show it last year. We didn't. We're showing it this year. Oh yeah. It's Christmas time (there's no need to be afraid) so to get in the mood we're watching The Muppet Christmas Carol. Which has ghosts in it, so it's fantasy. Michael Caine stars as Ebenezer Scrooge, while Kermit the Frog is Bob Cratchitt, and, oh, you know all the rest.
