Since 1996, the society has maintained a number of email lists which are used to discuss the society and it's interests. To make it easier for the modern age to use the lists, the archives have been augmented such that they also act as forums. Members of the society can read, post and reply to messages via the archive as easily as if they were reading it in it's original email format.
