What We Do
IFIS regularly shows films in one of the arts lecture theatres (ie ALT2) on the big screen. In the past we have shown Donnie Darko, Terminator 3, Ghost in the Shell, Matrix, Harry Potter, and many many more.
Besides films, we have a 1,500 book library that operates out of Time Square every Wednesday afternoon. We are the only independent library on campus, so if you fancy reading something other than textbooks head our way! If you can't find what you are looking for, we take requests!
Our society is a very enthusiastic and friendly society which has many outings and trips to see previews which we offer to our members at a discounted rate. In previous years we went to some of the first screenings of Matrix:Revolutions and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, all for £4 or less. We also frequent Forbidden Planet in London as necessary for those who are interested in signings, or just out for a bit of cult shopping!
We meet in Crosslands every Tuesday after the film for chatting and drinking. You will find us a welcome addition to your uni life!
