Fantasy Centre is closing!

Some bad news I'm afraid.

Purely by random luck, I happened to end up at
http://www.fantasycentre.demon.co.uk/ and noticed the unfortunate news that
the owners of said store have decided to finally retire and shut up shop! :(

Their last day is the 13th and until then they're having a half price sale.
So if you can, you should try and get down there as this store is one of the
finest (and last) sci-fi book stores in the local area.

Did you ever get to At The Sign of TheDragon when it was open ? That can't
have been gone that long.

I think Fantasy Inn burnt down before you got to Egham.

No, never managed to visit that one. They moved the shop up to Scotland in
2002 according to their website.

Yeah, I've never heard anyone mention that one before. Unless it was the
one at the end of the highstreet towards the police station?

We're certainly running pretty low on sci-fi book shops these days tho :(

Didn't know that.

No, can't remember what that was called. They were more toys and
merchandise. Fantasy Inn was a book shop with a basement comic shop at the
Trafalgar Square end of Charring Cross Rd. They had a fire c Dec 1991 and
never came back. Chris Lyth will remember them.

We're certainly running pretty low on sci-fi book shops these days tho :(

FP and that's it. Orbital, Gosh, Comicana and the more local They Walk
Among Us for comics.
