The 22nd of September is said to be the birth date of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins, but obviously separated by many years.

This happens every year on the 25th of May as a tribute to the late Douglas Adams. As a reference to the awesome Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, fans carry with them a towel in his honour. Do you know where your towel is?

Star Wars day is every year on the 4th of May. It is derived from a pun on the Jedi phrase "May the force be with you", namely "May the Fourth be with you".
