A less well known film after Ultron, I haven't watched Donnie Darko so this is what IMDB says:

This week, we are holding a quiz!It will have a mixture of the usual quiz categories (with the possible exception of 'sport') with an emphasis on Science Fiction and Fantasy (of course). There will be many, many prizes.

In the film "Back To The Future 2", Marty McFly travels forwards 30 years into the future to 2015. The exact time and date of his arrival is October 21st at 4:29pm Pacific time. For us in England that works out to be the 22nd at 0:29am. The future he finds himself in is vastly different to what we've actually got and this lends itself to the running joke of "Where's my [futuristic item]", usually a hoverboard as that was a key macguffin in this and the 3rd movie.

To celebrate Marty McFly's trip to the future, we will be holding a Back to the Future marathon on Wednesday afternoon.

Our first event of the year will be a screening of The Dark Knight! It's arguably the best Batman movie ever made, and will provide a great start to the year. There'll also be FREE PIZZA AND SNACKS, so come on down, and bring your friends! Everybody is welcome

The 22nd of September is said to be the birth date of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins, but obviously separated by many years.

The academic year has finished. Events will resume once the new year starts.

We thought we'd do a little social for people who are already around, before all the chaos of Freshers Week, so come along for a great afternoon of games, laughter, and science fiction/fantasy fun :)

Come along to vote for your new secretary, and possibly even run if you want to! After this, we will be watching a film, and as its members choice, this will be put to a vote, so feel free to bring along a DVD to suggest :)

Star Wars day is every year on the 4th of May. It is derived from a pun on the Jedi phrase "May the force be with you", namely "May the Fourth be with you".

Free Comic Book day is a yearly event where various comic stores around the world, give away copies from a specific list of comics, for free in a bid to promote comics to a wider audience. There are a number of stores taking part in this within the London area, although this trip will only focus on the ones located in the centre of town.

Royal Holloway is closed over the Easter period.
