Based on the novel of the same name by Richard Morgan, it is set in the future where humanity has acquired the technology to transfer the human mind. Bodies become disposable commodities and death only happens when the devices that store the mind is destroyed. A criminal, Kovacs, wakes up in a new body to find he has been hired by one of the richest men in the world to solve his murder.
