A reimagining of the arthurian legends, mists of avolon tells the story from the perspective of Morgaine - or Morganna le fae, as she's more commonly known to us.
Despite being written by a self described fundamentalist christian, Marion Zimmer Bradley has obviously done her research on paganism, which shows quite well in the book.
The story is engaging enough, though there are some clumsy time-jumps, its understandable in a story that spans so many years. Overall, I'd give it a thumbs up - worth a read, though more so if you know quite a bit about the original arthurian legends, as its fun to play spot the difference.
