How about a book and comic shop day out in/around London ?

Since we last went Orbital, Murder One (old one burnt down - anyone know
where the new one is) and FP have moved, and Comic Showcase has closed down.

Having done this a few times a best route now would probably be out at
Tottentham Court Road, into Orbital which is v near Center Point on Charring
Cross rd (center pt side), through Denmark St (paying respect at the site of
the old FP1 - I can't remember where FP2 used to be !) and up to FP
Superstore on Shaftsbury Ave, up Shaftsbury Ave to Mighty World of Comicana
(I remembered the name) and then on to Gosh opposite the British Museum.
Then walk back up New Oxford St (past the old FP combined store) to TCR
tube, the Virgin Megastore and some serious shopping.

Blimey. I'm guessing our "recommended bookshops" page[*] is quite out of date

Yes. Sign of the Dragon's been gone about 5 years now as well ! You can
scrath that off the list but maybe we should start a list of shops we've
loved and note if they burnt down or not..... which several of them appear
to have done.

Last I heard, they'd stopped doing SF and were only doing crime and
romance now (which were always their other two genres). Not sure if
that's definately the case or not, but it's what they announced when
they were moving.
