Can't speak for CD Wow but my experience is Play are pretty cheap but not
too good for R2 pre-orders - I usuaully get them the Thursday after the
releases date (if that - still waiting for Terrahawks v3) I know some
other people have had trouble - there's a thread about it at Roobarb's DVD
forum http://disc.server.com/Indices/148536.html (the forum may be of
interest to others here) listing several alternatives.
I've only ordered one R1 thing from Play and I got that the day before it
was released - DW: Key to Time boxset. 6 Discs of Lord Tom'ly goodness and
Dougie's first complete TV script to boot (Pirate Planet)
My R2 purchases are generally divided between Play - for stuff I want but
aren't too bothered when it turns up TNG boxsets etc - and Blackstar - for
the items I can't wait to get my grubby mits on DW DVDs etc. Blackstar
arem't the cheapest but still better than the high st and "the site that
sells books that we do not name", and pre-orders from Blackstar have a
habit of arriving the Friday or Saturday *BEFORE* the release date. Which
is good :-)
