Sam Rockwell plays an isolated worker (Sam) on a moonbase, who tries to deal with the monotony of his three year shift on the moon. Mining for Helium-3, Sam's only company is the base's computer, GERTY (voiced by Kevin Spacey). A mining accident threatens to turn Sam's world upside down, and as his paranoia grows, he starts to suspect that there may be more to the base than meets the eye...
