What does your role entail?
I take care of our Science Fiction/ Fantasy library of over 2000 books. This involves checking requests in and out, acting as a courier and making sure everything is where it should be. Im also in charge of spending our book budget.
Whats your favourite book?
Seveneves by Neal Stephenson
What is the best part?
Our library has been built up over many years and there are things in there I wouldnt have known existed without being librarian. Its always good to find new things to read.
Any advice for a future librarian?
If you keep track of things, its a fairly easy role although occasionally something big comes up. If youre a fan of reading its a great job to have though.
If you could have one thing from the world of Science Fiction/ Fantasy to help you, what would it be?
The Force it would be so much easier to move books around plus Id be able to use it persuade people to return late items.
